Quantoz Payments B.V. has recently unveiled its innovative Embedded Payment Services, a modular platform driven by API technology. This new offering is tailored to assist fintech companies, digital platforms, and payment service providers in seamlessly incorporating regulated digital currency functionalities, including accounts, wallets, payments, and compliance features, into their existing products. The first to leverage this cutting-edge platform is Potje, a Dutch app that facilitates group savings among friends, families, and colleagues for achieving shared financial goals.
By launching this service, Quantoz Payments is expanding beyond its traditional offerings of regulated e-money tokens. The platform boasts a comprehensive API and infrastructure that streamlines the creation of payment and settlement solutions throughout European markets. This service empowers businesses to integrate specific payment components, significantly reducing the challenges tied to licensing, compliance, safeguarding, and operational infrastructure requirements.
Built on blockchain-native technology, Quantoz’s Embedded Payment Services offer a flexible and scalable solution, allowing partners to select and incorporate components based on their specific needs. The platform’s features include digital accounts and wallets, capabilities for both inbound and outbound transactions, Pay by Bank functionalities, and robust fraud, risk, and compliance mechanisms.
Potje, which collaborated closely with Quantoz during the platform’s development phase, is the first to implement the service. As a result, Potje users benefit from funds securely held by Quantoz Payments under the oversight of the Dutch Central Bank. Users can conveniently add funds through a Europe-wide Pay by Bank service, enjoy instant payouts, and maintain flexibility with withdrawals. Potje’s CEO, Bastiaan Reurink, emphasized that the partnership aims to simplify and secure group saving, with enhanced features supporting the company’s vision of becoming a leading group money account across Europe.
Arjen van Klaarbergen, the Chief Legal Officer of Quantoz Payments, highlighted that the new service allows fintechs and platforms to access regulated digital-money infrastructure without the need to develop their own compliance and safeguarding operations from scratch. Operating under its existing regulatory framework, Quantoz Payments holds a license as an Electronic Money Institution in the Netherlands, supervised by the Dutch Central Bank. The funds exchanged for e-money are safeguarded in line with European regulatory standards. This service is available to fintechs, platforms, and payment service providers within the European Economic Area.
